Link Checker: Read a Login Address First
Paste the link you were sent and the checker adds up warning points from the text of the address alone. It cannot tell who runs a site, and at the time of writing (8 October 2026) it gives 30 points to any address with “shreewin” in it, the address our button opens included.
The box above opens on a made-up address, https://paytm-login.xyz/verify, so you can see a result before you paste anything. Paste your own link, or press an example button, and the result is replaced. Everything happens on your phone.
Words on this screen
| On the screen | What it means |
|---|---|
| Paste the link | The box. One link at a time, up to 2,000 characters |
| Check this link | The button that adds up the points |
| Try an example | Five made-up addresses to learn from |
| Low, Medium, High risk | Under 25 points, 25 to 59, and 60 or more |
| Why | The signs found, heaviest first |
| The site this link belongs to | Usually the last two parts of the host, such as shreewin.app. The host is the text between the double slash and the next single slash, after any @ |
Why the name alone adds 30
Look-alike pages often borrow a platform’s name, so the checker watches for it. It strips every mark from the host and looks for shreewin, or the near spellings shriwin and sreewin. Where it finds one, it adds 30 points, and 30 is already Medium.
That includes the address behind our button. At the time of writing that was www.shreewin.app, which scores 30 with or without the sign-up code at the end of the button’s address. We read that page; we cannot say who runs it. A notice on the page, dated 2026-08-31, says customer service will never send members links. That is the page’s claim and we cannot test it. Whatever its source, a link that reaches you in a message is a link to read before you tap.
Three invented addresses, one by one
None of these is a real site. If one exists by chance, we know nothing of it.
| Address | Points | Rating |
|---|---|---|
https://paytm-login.xyz/verify | 62 | High |
https://shreewin-bonus-login.top/ | 65 | High |
https://xn--pytm-53d.com/login | 30 | Medium |
The starting example. A famous payment name sits in front of a login word. The checker adds 35 for a well-known name that is not the site’s own, 15 for .xyz (one of 34 cheap endings on its list) and 12 for the word login. The path, /verify, adds nothing: paths are read only for an app-file name, a second address to forward you on, and sheer length.
The one with the platform’s name. Name 30, ending 15, an urgent word 12 (login and bonus together count once), and 8 for two hyphens. That is 65. A familiar name plus promising words piles up fast.
The one with look-alike letters. A name starting xn— is written with letters from another alphabet, some of which can imitate ordinary ones. The checker adds 30 and nothing else, so it ends Medium, below the other two, though it may be the sneakiest. Read Medium as “check another way”, not as “nearly fine”.
When a number misleads
| Address (invented) | Points | What happened |
|---|---|---|
https://shrewin.app/ | 0 | One letter fewer; no rule fires, which is not a green light |
https://shreewin.app@login-verify.xyz/ | 87 | The name sits before an @, so the browser ignores it; the hidden destination adds 60 and the ending and the word login 27 more |
http://shreewin.xyz/shreewin.apk | 90 | Name 30, app file 25, no secure connection 20, ending 15 |
A score is a sum of signs, capped at 100, and each sign is only a pattern that look-alike pages lean on. None is proof alone. What the checker cannot see matters as much: how old a site is, who owns it, and what the page does once you type.
Reading a link you were sent
- Press and hold the link, then choose Copy. Do not tap it.
- Paste it into the box and press Check this link.
- Read the reasons, not only the colour.
- Ask who sent it. A friend’s chat account can be taken over.
- Type the platform’s address yourself and compare the two names letter by letter. The login guide shows the screen you should reach.
A link ending .apk starts a file download, so run the install checklist first. If you have already typed something on a page you doubt, the after-a-scam guide lists what to do first. More checks are on the tools page.
Want to see the page itself? The button opens it in a new tab. Read the address bar there before you type anything.
Log in or register on Shree Win
Opens the platform’s own page in a new tab. Referral link. 18+ only.
Common questions
Why does the address your button opens score 30 and not 0?
The checker keeps no address that it treats as the platform’s own, so every address with the name in it gets 30 points for the name alone. At the time of writing (8 October 2026) the button led to www.shreewin.app, and that scores 30 too. The number is the checker reading text. It is not a verdict on the page, and it is not an approval of it.
Can I drop the dot in Shree.Win to get a lower score?
No. The page calls itself Shree.Win, and the checker strips dots, hyphens and every other mark before it looks for the name, so shree.win, shree-win.com and shreewins.app each score 30. A missing letter is different: shrewin.app scores 0, because that spelling is not on the checker’s list. Both facts are reasons to read the name yourself, letter by letter.
Does a short link that mentions Shree Win score more than a plain short link?
No. The checker reads the host of an address, the part before the first single slash, and a short link’s host is the shortener’s own. So bit.ly/shreewin scores 30, the same as bit.ly/3abcDEF, and the name after the slash is never read. A short link hides the real destination, which is why it scores points at all.
My link scored Low. Can I type my password on that page?
Not on that evidence. Low means under 25 points, and the checker sees only text: it cannot see who runs the site, how new it is or what the page does with what you type. Ask who sent the link and why, then open the platform from an address you typed yourself.
I tapped a link and typed my details before I checked it. What now?
Close the page and type nothing more. Change the password you typed, on a page you reached by typing the address yourself, and change it anywhere else you used it, starting with your email. If you gave card or UPI details, call your bank first, then 1930, then report it at cybercrime.gov.in.
Does the checker keep or send the link I paste?
No. It runs in your browser and works on the text in the box. There is no share button either, because a Low page passed to a friend would look like approval, and a Low score is never that.
